Book Case TV Promo #1

We have been absent for the last two months, but we have not been resting in the fresh summer grass. On the contrary, the Book Case team has been hard at work. Since announcing that NYC Life will broadcast our future episodes, starting Oct 29th (channel 25 if you live in NY) at 9:30 pm, we have designed a new program, much longer, jumping from 10 to 30 minutes. We have just wrapped the third episode. Watch the first of our promo trailers in the meantime. It has been airing since last Sunday on NYC Life. It will also broadcast on all the NY cabs coming this Sunday 09/16/12. Promo was conceived and executed by Frederic Colier and Max Shuppert.

The second promo trailer will be available through all the social media and BCTV in the next two weeks. Finally Book Case TV welcome your feedback on Facebook and would love to get your tweet.

Book Case (#7) With Joshua Henkin

After “Matrimony,” and “Swimming across the Hudson,” Joshua Henkin releases, “A World without You,” the story of a family coping with the death of one of theirs, who dies in during the war in Iraq. Joshua talks to Frederic Colier about his choices in crafting this highly heartfelt and poignant novel, which investigates the nature of grief between parents and children, between siblings, and between wives and husbands.

Leora Skolkin-Smith “Hystera” was selected this week for the Pick of the Week segment.

Book Case (#6) with Twesigye Jackson Kaguri

Frederic Colier interviews Nyaka School founder and executive director Twesigye Jackson Kaguri about his bestseller, “The Price of Stones,” now in paperback under the title, “A School for My Village” and his work in Uganda helping HIV/AIDS orphans acquire an education and improve the prospects for rural Ugandans. Kate Ledger’s compelling first novel “Remedies” graces the introductory Pick of the Week segment.

Book Case (#5) with Liza Marklund

The Queen of Scandinavia crime novel, Liza Marklund, makes a stop in Forest Park, IL, to address her entourage about her new novel “Last Will,” featuring her name-sake character Annika Bengtzon and her quest to catch the feline murderer of a Nobel recipient. But beyond the linear story, the book also investigates the nature of power, in the media and politics.
